Learn an age old skill with a modern twist at Das Bevo, in the historic Bevo Mill. This two hour workshop will cover all the basics of modern calligraphy, from how to hold your pen, how to use the supplies, practice drills, letters, and and words. No prior experience (not even good handwriting!) is required. You’ll receive a supply kit to take home with everything you need to continue practicing modern calligraphy: two nibs, a beautiful pen holder, a pencil, a cleaning cloth, and a box to keep it all together. Additionally, you’ll also a 15 page packet that covers everything a beginner needs to know about calligraphy, complete with drills and practice pages. A PDF of the workshop packet will be emailed after the event, so that you can print and practice to your heart’s content.
